Congratulations are in order for Congressman and senate-candidate Mike Capuano of Massachusetts for openly acknowledging that Dick Cheney should be prosecuted for his crimes.

I ran into Creigh Deeds, candidate for Virginia Governor, at the farmer’s market in Charlottesville on Saturday. Here’s what Norman Solomon says about Marcy, about Jane “cover up Bush’s spying” Harman, and about challenging incumbents. Every incumbent should be challenged from the left in this country every time. Waiting for a candidate as awful as Harman is pretty low standards. The teeny bit I’ve been able to follow, he seems more than anyone to be leading worthwhile projects. He’s also in close touch with grassroots groups and advocates he should be in touch with. WASHINGTON, DC – Progressive Democrats of America has endorsed Tom Geoghegan in his bid to replace Rahm Emanuel in the House seat representing Illinois’ 5th Congressional District.

Following the endorsement of the local PDA chapter on Feb. 9, PDA members across the country were encouraged to vote in an online poll, which closed at midnight last night. Geoghegan won the endorsement with 99% of votes.
