Rupert Murdoch Hosted Hillary Fundraiser

On Monday, July 17, 2006, at Fox News headquarters in New York City, Rupert Murdoch hosted a fundraiser breakfast for Hillary Clinton. Then he rushed off to a fundraiser lunch for John McCain, and Hillary rushed off to announce her unqualified support for Israel’s and Bush’s war policies.

Hillarupert Murdoclinton strikes some people as an unusual combination. I’m sure someone could create a funny cartoon out of that name and a merger of their two smirking masks. read more

Republican Congressman Says Bush Should Be Removed from Office

A radio show reported yesterday that Republican Texas Congressman Ron Paul said the following:

“I would have trouble arguing that he’s been a Constitutional President, and once you violate the Constitution and be proven to do that I think these people should be removed from office.”

Bush Chain Gang Put to Work in Charlottesville, Virginia

Last night was the 30th Anniversary of the pedestrian Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, Virginia. Thousands of people came out to celebrate, and the Bush Chain Gang joined them, to help pick up trash and clean walls.

Command Rape

Suzanne Swift’s story begins in an all-too-familiar way. A dead-end job, a friendly military recruiter, a promise that signing-up as military police would mean no deployment to Iraq, a broken promise, and a trip to war. Senators Finally Hold Hearing on Pre-War Intelligence

Well, the Senate Intelligence Committee, under Republican control, and with very polite (OK, almost nonexistent) Democratic protest, has yet to hold hearings on the Iraq War lies, but today the Senate Democratic Policy Committee held a Hearing on the model of Rep. John Conyers’ Downing Street Memo hearing: no subpoena power, but great witnesses. And a Republican even came: Rep. Walter Jones of North Carolina.
