Jeffersonton-area residents toiled last weekend
to help the Culpeper County Parks and Rec
Department Spilman Park in northern Culpeper
into a useable facility.
Thus far, some paths and a field have been
cleared and a picnic pavilion erected at the
25-acre park. The pavilion and the entrance to
the park, which still has a locked gate across it,
are visible on the north side of Colvin Road just
west of Route 229.
