Thank you David for your excellent expressions regarding the need for us to have accountability regarding those who enabled torture or participated in torture. Everyone who grew up in our society should have absorbed the knowledge that torture is illegal. Since the torture was conducted to gain false confessions to help sell the aggressive illegal War on Iraq the program was additionally initiated with a criminal motive. Regardless of any claimed patriotic motive there is no excuse for implementing a program of illegal torture in our country in our names.
