David Swanson will speak in the Twin Cities of Minnesota on August 26th at the Veterans For Peace National Convention (you should register and attend) and on August 27th at May Day Books. The May Day Books event is open to the public and will take place at 7 p.m. at 301 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis, MN.
August 27, 2018, marks 90 years since the single biggest news story of 1928, the signing by the world’s major nations of the Kellogg-Briand Pact, outlawing war. The treaty, still on the books, is named, as is Kellogg Boulevard in St. Paul, for Frank Kellogg, the only Minnesotan to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.
Swanson is the author of When the World Outlawed War, as well as War Is A Lie, War Is Never Just, and numerous other books, including his latest, Curing Exceptionalism. Swanson will speak on the past, present, and future of efforts to reduce and end war. He’ll take questions and sign books.
